Examine the impact of weather on aviation through interactive STEMonsrtation activities, take a close look at an aircraft engine, and create Lego displays in a friendly STEM challenge.
Here’s a rundown of the day:
- 9:30 am – 3:00 pm: Wild Weather Day Camp – Dive into the science of weather with hands-on experiments and aviation-inspired exploration. Registration Required.
- 10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Public Flight Bay Simulators – Take the captain’s seat and experience the adventure of flight on our state-of-the-art flight simulators.
- 10:30 am – 2:30 pm: Girl Scouts Robotics (2-Day Camp!) – Continue exploring robotics and aviation innovation in this dynamic STEM camp. Registration Required.
- 10:30 am – 12:30 pm: Toddler Dress Up – Dress up and explore exciting aviation careers through imaginative, hands-on play.
- 11:00 am – 2:00 pm: STEMonstration – Cloud & Tornados – Create a cloud in a jar and test tornado tubes while discovering the science behind wild weather.
- 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm: LEGO STEM Challenge – Build creative LEGO® designs or tackle one of our aviation-inspired challenge cards in this hands-on engineering activity.
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Show Me the Mooney – Step into the role of a pilot as you perform a pre-flight check on our Mooney Ovation airplane and enjoy an up-close look at a real aircraft.
- 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Hands-on Engine Exploration – Get an up-close look at real engines and enjoy a guided tinkering experience.
