Clay Shoot Tournament Presented By The Anne and Edgar Lackner Charitable Foundation and Mach Industrial Group Raises More Than $80,000 To Support the Museum’s Educational Programming and Historic Aircraft Collection
Held on Thursday, May 8, with perfect Houston weather, event co-chairs Steve Biegel and Robert Wagnon, along with committee members Mark Ammerman, Jeff Birmingham, Butch Mach, and Alan Musgrove welcomed nearly 100 players to the Greater Houston Sports Club for a sporting clays tournament that included a dozen shooting stations and mulligan and flurry side game action. Silent auction items and shotgun squares added to the fun and excitement of the day and a hearty Treebeards lunch was enjoyed by all, and the following awards were announced:
1st Place Team: Andrew Gauthier, Butch Mach, Steve Mach, and Prentiss Burt
2nd Place Team: Brian Ash, Danny Davis, Drake Davis, and Web Beard
Top Scoring Male: Andrew Gauthier
Top Scoring Female: Allison Edwards
Top Flurry Team: Phillip Lucas, Jody James, Robert Wagnon, and Tom Edwards
Among the more than 120 attendees, notable supporters included board members Steve Biegel, Robert Wagnon, Mark Ammerman, Brian Antweil, Dan Collins, Josh Hernandez, David Novelli, Rhonda Parmer, and Brett Williams and museum donors Butch Mach, Steve Mach, Ellen Wagnon, Paige Michael Cokinos, Stephen Szalkowski, Matt Davis, Charlie Holder, and Trisha Pollard.
