Ambassadors are a valuable part of our team. Assist in the Aviation Learning Center, conduct STEMonstrations, lead activities for children, and help with special events & programs. Ambassadors develop skills, meet aviation experts, and gain experience to launch their aviation & STEM careers.
- Be a youth age 13-17 and in grades 7-12.
- Practice Safety as your highest priority.
- Get out of your comfort zone to try something new.
- Be responsible and treat the position like a professional.
- Have a desire to learn about aviation and STEM; no prior aviation experience is required.
- Be polite, friendly, respectful, and courteous.
- At least 8 hours of service per month is required.
- Share with your parent(s)/guardian(s) about the program expectations and keep them updated and involved.
- Be dedicated to the mission of the museum.
- Be reliable, flexible, punctual, and have reliable transportation.
- Take initiative to learn and stay updated on the museum’s programs and volunteer assignments.
- Be ready to learn, participate in regular trainings and activities, and have fun!

- An automatic email will be sent confirming your account has been created
- Email a letter of recommendation from a non-relative (teacher, coach, mentor, etc.) to education@lonestarflight.org using the subject line: Ambassador Letter of Recommendation
- Once your application and letter of recommendation are received, then you will receive email confirmation that your submission was received and is under review
- Applicants will be notified whether or not they have been invited for an interview with a parent/guardian
- Interviews will include a review of the program and requirements
- A consent form with parent/guardian signature is required for participation in the Ambassador program
