Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Generosity comes in many forms, and it’s often the best way for you to support important causes that matter the most to you. When you make a planned gift to the Museum, you help us celebrate flight and Texas aviation for generations to come.

Including LSFM in your legacy plan will ensure that the Museum can continue to inspire and educate future generations, honor those who flew in the past and commemorate the rich history of Texas aviation, highlighting its impact on the state, the nation and the world.

Your future gift may provide unrestricted financial support, or strengthen a specific area of interest such as the Museum’s endowment, aircraft, education, or the curatorial departments. These gifts have a lasting impact and inspire future generations.

There are many ways to make a planned gift that provide benefits to you and the Museum, including:

  • Naming the Museum in a will, codicils, estate plan, or trust
  • Designating life insurance proceeds or donating an insurance policy
  • Making the LSFM a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, 401(k), or 203(b)
  • Establishing a charitable trust with the LSFM
  • Transferring real estate to the LSFM through a life estate
  • Promising a gift of an aircraft (or aircrafts) that the Museum has agreed to accept

Designating any type of planned gift to the Lone Star Flight Museum qualifies you as a member of the Lone Star Flight Museum Aviation Heritage Society.
