Dan R. Collins

Dan R. Collins, a native Texan, was elected to the Lone Star Flight Museum Board of Directors in 2016, serving on the Education and Development Committees.  Dan also serves as Commissioner on the City of Bellaire, Texas Building and Standards Commission. 

He previously lead Halliburton’s global E-Commerce initiative as well as serving in Management positions for Operations, Marketing, Business Development, Product Line Management and ERP integration from 1977, retiring in 2015.  Dan has received various industry awards, published technical articles and was awarded multiple patents during his 38-year career in the global Oil and Gas service industry.  He served as Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee for PIDX International Inc., Corporate advisor for the Oilfield Suppliers Portal, LLC and as member company Representative to SAP, TradeRanger, Oildex and ADP exchanges.  Dan is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Experimental Aircraft Association, Warbirds of America and the Commemorative Air Force.  An avid aviator, Dan earned his private pilot license at age 17 and currently holds Commercial and Multi-Engine Airplane ratings.  He has a BA from Nicholls University and completed numerous corporate level Management, Strategic Planning and Operational courses. Dan is married to Lilly Falcon Gilmer, a long time Bellaire attorney.
