Thurs., September 24 - Four Forces of Flight
Soar into the world of Aviation with this introduction to the Four Forces of Flight as we learn about Straight and Level Flight!
Experiment with aircraft models, test and find out what works and what doesn’t in our workshop, complete a pre-flight checklist just like a real pilot with one of our personal aircraft and put our flight lesson in action in our flight simulators!
Thurs., October 22 - Wind Tunnels
Experiment with our Wind Tunnel while also learning about Aerodynamics and what helps aircraft takeoff!
We’ll learn about airfoils, see them in action, learn a new flight lesson and get to close our lesson with putting our knowledge to the test in our flight simulators!
Thurs., November 19 - Flight Instruments
Get hands on with our flight instruments and controls!
Discover what makes an aircraft move and what helps keep the pilot aware of their surroundings and status of their aircraft. Create your own compass, kneeboard and learn how and when to use your instruments in the cockpit!
Thurs., December 17 - Weight and Balance
Discover Weight and Balance and its impact on aircraft and commercial aviation!
We’ll go through experiments from our Learning Lab in our workshop, experiment with our own aircraft models, and find our center of gravity in flight!

- Tour of the Aviation Heritage Gallery and the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame
- $8 per student and $10 per adult
- Minimum of 10 students

Aviation Learning Center (Grades 5-12)
- A guided tour through two hangars of historic planes
- Hands-On Flight Academy exhibits
- Aviation Learning Center pre-flight aircraft inspection and pilot a flight simulator (Grades 5-9)
- Learning Lab STEM Fundamentals of Flight (Grades 7-12)
- $12 per student and $10 per adult
- Minimum of 10 students

Classroom Lessons
- Classes taught by a museum instructor dig deep into aviation historical events, the science of flight, and engineering. Due to the self-discovery and exploratory nature of the classes, a wide range of ages can participate allowing families to take classes together.
- $10 per student
- 2.5 hour field trip is a guided tour through our two aircraft hangars and the Flight Academy hands-on STEM exhibit.
- Minimum group size: 20 students
- Maximum group size: 80 students

- A single payment for the entire group is due no less than 2 weeks before the visit.
