David A. Novelli is a Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley where he and his associates function as a virtual family office providing wealth management services. Prior to this, he was with Kidder, Peabody and began his career with Touche Ross in New York City. David holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, is a non-practicing CPA and a Senior Portfolio Management Director, representing a select group of financial advisors who manage portfolios under discretion. For more than 10 years, Barron’s Magazine ranked David one of their Top Advisors in Texas and the Houston Business Journal ranked The Novelli Group as a top Wealth Management Practice for clients with more than $5 million investible.
Based in Houston, Texas, David received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Houston, on the Board of Trustees for Strake Jesuit College Prep and its Foundation, the Board of Trustees of Presbyterian School and is a past Chair of the Gladney Fund Board of Directors. He served in Boy Scouts of America with Troop 55 at St. John the Devine Church and today is active in East West Ministries, a global church planting organization based in Dallas, Texas and Angel Flight as a volunteer pilot.
David, and his wife Mary, have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas. David’s top passion is aviation; he holds a commercial pilot’s license and flies regularly in a Cirrus SR22T. He enjoys hiking, snow skiing, and outdoor recreation of all types. David and Mary make their home in Houston, Texas and on Lake Conroe.
