Fairchild 100th Birthday Celebration

Join us on September 6, 2025, as we celebrate a century of aviation innovation with a birthday bash for the Fairchild F-24 and Fairchild PT-19 Cornell!

Our day of celebration includes:

STEM activities schedule:

  • Morse Code Interactive Demo: 10:00am-10:30am

  • Phonetic Alphabet Interactive Demo: 10:30am-11:00am

  • 6 Pack Instrument Panel and Rudder Pedals Interactive Demo: 11:00am – 11:30am

  • Informational Video and Picture Frame Fun (While Staff &/or Ambassadors do breaks) 11:30am – 12:30pm

  • Plane of the Month Snapshot 12:30pm – 1:00pm

  • Ozobot Interactive Demo (They will color code the way for their PT-19/F-24 Fairchild through the sky): 1:00-2:00pm

Our Heritage Hangar will be closed

Thursday, October 9, 2025 for private event preparation. The Waltrip Hangar and all other exhibits will remain open. Enjoy discounted admission all day!

Please note: The museum will be closed Friday, October 10 for the private event. 

Regular museum hours will resume on Saturday, October 11 from 10am – 5pm.

Heritage Hangar Closure – Thursday, September 18 at 1pm.

The Waltrip Hangar and all other exhibits remain open. The Heritage Hangar will reopen Friday during regular museum hours.
