Have you ever seen a drone up close? For ONE DAY ONLY, and in partnership with the 147th Attack Wing, the MQ-9 Reaper returns to LSFM on static display!
Get ready for an up-close look at this UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). With a 66-foot wingspan, speeds up to 300 mph, and 27+ hours of endurance, this remotely piloted aircraft is impressive in every way.
This drone supported mission-essential operations during flood response efforts in Kerr County over the July 4th weekend in 2025. Learn more about its vital role during a special hangar talk at 12 pm.
We’ll be out on the ramp this time. Bring your questions and your curiosity!
Day-of Schedule:
- 10:00 am-1:00 pm: Reaper will be on the Ramp for public viewing. There will be Government Staff stationed with the Reaper for Q&A and Security.
- 10:00 am-10:30 am: Museum Meet & Greet
- 12:00 pm-12:30 pm: Hangar Talk presented by Senior Staff of the 147th on the MQ-9 Reaper (Heritage Hangar)
- 1:00 pm-1:30 pm: Drone Demonstration (Event Center)
- 1:00 pm-1:30 pm: Show Me the Mooney
- 2:30 pm-3:00 pm: Bessie Coleman STEMonstration
