Marc Felice

Marc Felice serves as Managing Director of Hub Maintenance for United Airlines at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, where he leads one of the airline’s most complex and dynamic maintenance operations. In this role, he oversees hundreds of technicians and leaders responsible for keeping the Houston hub running safely and reliably each day and night, supporting hundreds of departures and thousands of hours of maintenance activity across the system.

Since joining United in 2017 as a Principal Line Engineer in Denver, Marc has advanced through leadership roles of increasing scope and responsibility. After being promoted to Senior Manager of Line Engineering, he relocated to Houston to lead the 24/7 engineering team that enables line maintenance operations worldwide. In 2022, he was named Director of the IAH Maintenance Hub, leading more than 650 technicians and staff supporting mainline flying and overnight maintenance. His portfolio expanded to include United’s staffed Latin American line maintenance stations in Cancun, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico City, which has now grown to include over 250 maintenance technicians and staff. He also led maintenance operations across the Southeast Region before being promoted to Managing Director, where he now oversees the IAH Hub, Latin America, and Central Region.
Prior to United, Marc held engineering roles with American Airlines, NORDAM Repair Division, AirTran Airways and US Airways. His technical background spans aircraft structures, nacelles, thrust reversers and major repair and alteration projects. He served as lead project and nacelle system design engineer supporting the Boeing 707 re-engining program that achieved Supplemental Type Certificate approval. From 2015 to 2024, he held full authority FAA Designated Engineering Representative credentials in Structures.

Marc is widely recognized for his leadership during some of the most challenging moments in modern aviation. He led United’s Aircraft Recovery Team for five years, overseeing the safe movement of disabled aircraft systemwide. He also managed the technical execution of the 737 MAX grounding storage plan, directed the technical aspects when United stored 537 aircraft during the COVID 19 pandemic, and supported the storage program for United’s 777 Pratt and Whitney fleet, earning the nickname “the Storage Guy” along the way.

He holds a Master of Business Administration in Aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Born and raised in southwest Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh, Marc developed a passion for aviation early in life. Strong in math and fascinated by flight, he once aspired to become an astronaut. When that path shifted, an airline internship set him on a course that has now spanned more than 20 years in the industry. He and his wife Nicole have been married since 2010 and are proud parents to their son, Marc Edmond, and daughter, Eleanor Mae. A lifelong Steelers fan, Marc brings grit, teamwork and steady leadership to everything he does.
