Flyin’ Tiger Bohannan B-1
Join us in welcoming our October Plane of the Month: The Flyin’ Tiger Bohannon B-1
The Flyin’ Tiger, a highly modified RV-4 kit airplane, was flown by Texas-born aerobatic pilot and air racer Bruce Bohannon to set 30 world records between 1999 and 2005.
Designed for time-to-climb and altitude records, the Flyin’ Tiger reached 47,530 feet and became the fastest-climbing piston-engine aircraft to 20,000, 30,000, and 40,000 feet. The aircraft is on loan to LSFM from Bohannon, who was inducted into the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame in 2022.
Join us this month for our POM Hangar Talks where you can get up close and learn more. Included with your general admission and FREE for members!
